I saw a lecture given by the late Mr. Morita of Sony about the sales of Walkman in the U.S. Morita gave a speech in the U.S. about the sale of the Walkman. It was a very thoughtful speech. He must have put his heart and soul into the Walkman and sold it with confidence. On the other hand, Sony's financial results briefing for this season. It is not so much about the deficit financial results, but the presenter has no soul. There is no spirit of words at all. Isn't that board of directors the main culprit behind the poor financial results? This is what I always think. I often go to Haneda Airport from my office around 19:00 on Sundays. I pass by Aomono-Yokocho station on the Keikyu line. I can see the new Rakuten Tower after the relocation. Even on Sundays, more than 60% of the electricity is on. On the other hand, the building of a major electronics manufacturer next to the Rakuten Tower has 99% of its electricity turned off. I am not saying that working on holidays is great. I am saying that companies with a growing venture spirit work and play together. Only people who can't work say, "Holidays, vacations. Five years ago, what happened to Japan's academic performance due to the "Yutori" education? It is still fresh in our minds. What happened to Japan's growth potential with the 40-hour workweek?
