Thoughts on the Breakdown of Kirin and Suntory Integration Negotiations

From a past blog, not a takeover, but the same thing for integration.

↓.

Takeover battle: 。。。。 Thoughts.

Microsoft has offered to buy Yahoo.

Both NASDAQ and NYSE have been booming since last week because of it.

What is an acquisition?

Necessary for corporate growth? Is it necessary to expand a business?

President Horie of Livedoor once said, "There is nothing that money can't buy.

What is a corporation? What is the meaning of working for a company?

If it is simply an equivalent exchange of time for money, then the conclusion is simple.

You are exchanging your life for money,

I want to think of the company as my family.

I like to think of my company as my family. A family has bonds and rules.

It is what we call a corporate culture and code of conduct.

If the idea is to ignore the culture and just buy the company, then materially the acquisition is a success.

I think and would like to think, that there are things that money cannot buy.

Corporate culture cannot be bought with money.

It takes years to build. It is really tough and hard to build.

But it collapses quickly. Really fast. It happens in an instant.

I can say this because I have experienced it many times.

Therefore, I can say that the key to success in corporate acquisitions is the ability (mind due diligence) to identify what is priceless and what is invisible.

The key to success in acquisitions is the ability to discern what is priceless and what is invisible (mind due diligence).
