The Maslow of food!

It was a year in which everything changed dramatically in Corona in 2020.

The food world has also changed a lot. Both the restaurant industry and the food service industry.

Humans cannot stop eating. We need nutrition to live, and the main source of nutrition is the food we take by mouth.

However, the meaning of the act of eating has changed dramatically over the past few years.

In primitive times, eating was a way of life, and people ate to live. If you are full, it is OK.

2、Interested in the safety of the food we eat. What foods are dangerous to life? It is meaningless to eat food and die.

3,They are interested in the environment in which they eat. Interest in communication between people and the services they receive. Desire to be connected with others.

4、I want to eat at famous places, luxury places, and Michelin restaurants. Desire for self-approval, desire for self-approval to see me like that.

5、Choice of food for health, choice of how to eat. I choose the amount of food I eat. The desire to be healthy.

If you think about it, this is the Maslow of food.

What should the stores that serve them be like?

Survival desire A place that offers food to survive Safety desire A place that offers food that is safe to eat Affinity desire A place where you can meet people, communicate, and seek service Approval desire A place that offers taste, the best ingredients, Michelin, and self-approval to see yourself there Self-actualization desire Food and health. A place that offers things that make you healthy. A place where the more you eat, the healthier you become.

Food is different for everyone. Eating habits are changing dramatically. We have moved from a culture where everyone eats the same food to one where everyone eats individually. An era in which each person eats different foods and spends mealtime together.

There is the idea of customization (active action from the customer's side), but from now on, personalization (passive action from the provider's side) is the key.

Especially when knowledge on the customer side is weak, the customer side tends to seek it from the provider side.

This will be especially true for health. What should we eat rather than what we want to eat?

Many people have an overall knowledge of what foods are good for their health. Few people know what foods are best suited to their own health, physical condition, and characteristics.

This is why it is necessary for food providers to offer knowledge and personalization.

There is a major supermarket in the United States called Kroger. The way it operates as a supermarket is interesting.

It has the concept of prescription 'food.

For example, at a hospital, a prescription is issued after a diagnosis, and the patient receives medicine based on the prescription.

In 2020, more and more people in the world are thinking deeply about health with the Corona Disaster. They are beginning to understand the importance of health. What does it mean to live? What does it mean to die?

Prevention of disease and healthy life expectancy. Even if life expectancy is getting longer, there is no point in living longer if you cannot live in a healthy state.

The meaning of eating is changing. The meaning of eating is changing.

The age of individual eating, personalization, health, etc.

Which is the future of "food and health" tomorrow?

And what are the SDGs that are so popular these days?

I think it is "to keep the earth healthy".
