Handmade, Freshly Made, Counter-Style Onigiri & Omusubi Restaurant

30046811_sIn your country, there are retail stores that sell onigiri, but aren’t there any onigiri restaurants?
In Japan, the home of onigiri, it was customary to eat onigiri at lunch that had been made in the morning. That’s why a business model—like convenience stores—where onigiri made in factories are sold hours later became viable.
Onigiri culture has spread to the West. However, since the Japanese style was exported as-is, the model involved making them in factories or restaurant kitchens, displaying them, and selling them—in other words, they were retail stores.
Amid this, a new trend emerged from Japan: “Handmade, Freshly Made, Counter-Style Onigiri & Omusubi Restaurant.” This was a revelation.
Eating freshly made onigiri right off the counter, just like sushi. The flavor is truly astonishing.
